JumpSac Orbit Carrier Wearing Instructions - Back Carry (using the Superman Toss technique)

Here's how you Back Carry your baby/toddler in the JumpSac Orbit soft structured carrier, using the Superman Toss technique.

To do the Superman Toss technique, the wearer needs to have somewhat strong arms in order to lift the baby/toddler up.
This technique is generally suitable for lifting a child under 13kg (unless you have a big build, substantial upper body strength or really strong arms). And this technique is best used for toddlers whom can already stand on their feet on their own.

Back carrying is recommended for tall, big or heavy toddlers for the feel of weightlessness, without having your baby/toddler's head blocking your view.

For an even bigger toddler / pre-schoolers whom can already understand your command / instructions when spoken to, you might prefer the Back Climb technique.
For small babies / little toddlers, try the Hip Scoot technique.

Superman Toss Technique in a flash:

Superman Toss Technique explained, step by step:

First, hold the Orbit carrier in front of you. Important: Make sure the buckles on the shoulder straps are fastened, and prepare/adjust the webbing (black straps) length accordingly, enough to fit your baby/toddler and yourself snugly. (You'll be able to figure it out after wearing it a couple of times). Now, flip the body panel down as shown above, and hold the waist/hip pad with your hands, at waist/hip level, whichever you prefer.

Then, fasten the buckle in front of you (you can choose either to wear the waist/hip pad on your waist or your hip, whichever is more comfortable for you). Tighten or loosen the webbing (black straps) at the buckle accordingly so it fits you snugly.

Now, cross your arms, with your left hand on top of your right hand. Bend your body down a little to reach your toddler and hold your toddler's hands near his/her armpit. Your toddler should stand towards your right side of the body, as we're going to swing to the right.

Using your upper body muscle and arms, lift your toddler up, and swing slightly to the right. While swinging, slowly stand up.Continue swinging your baby high up towards your back as shown, by bringing your hands above your head . Do not hesitate while doing this. Do not swing low.

When baby is already on your back, bend down a little for stability, and bring your toddler's hand over your shoulderBend down some more for stability, and spread toddler's legs to cradle your waist

This is how it looks like from the back with the toddler's legs cradling the wearer's waist. While still bending down, using your hands, reach for both of the shoulder straps (Important: buckles on the shoulder straps must already be fastened, as mentioned in Step 1, otherwise this technique won't work). While still bending down, bring the shoulder straps up, over your toddler's body, in order to get the body panel to cover his/her body. Do not stand up yet.

This is how it looks like when the body panel is somewhat covering your toddler's back. Do not let go off the shoulder straps yet.Now slowly stand up, while still holding the shoulder straps. At this point, pull up the shoulder straps while bouncing a little, to get your toddler to sit nice and snug inside the body panel sitting area. (It helps if there's a mirror or any reflective surface that you can look at to check whether the body panel is covering your toddler's body properly).

Once you're satisfied, fasten the buckle on the chest straps as shown.Tighten or loosen the webbing (black straps) on the chest straps accordingly. It should feel nice and snug, not to loose, not too tight.

Then, tighten or loosen the webbing (black straps) on the shoulder straps accordingly. It should feel nice and snug, not to loose, not too tight. This is how it looks like from the side once you're done.
In the picture above, wearer is donning the waist/hip pad on her waist. (You can also wear it on your hip if it's more comfortable for you)

And this is how it looks like from the back. Walla! You're now back carrying your toddler in the JumpSac Orbit carrier using the Superman Toss technique!

For an even bigger toddler / pre-schoolers whom can already understand your command / instructions when spoken to, you might prefer the Back Climb technique.
For small babies / little toddlers, try the Hip Scoot technique.
